There are some best practices in human resource, but she thinks those aren't best practices because we don't measure this stuff. She've learned that "the best" practices usually means copying what everybody else does.
The most unforgettable lesson is: Everyone in your company should be able to handle the truth. In everyday life, I didn't practice to feedback the truly thinking because of fear, polite, or want to keep acting in proper manners. However, Patty McCord said: humans can hear anything if it's true. Telling people the truth of what they're doing well or wrong, they will do that again and again, and you can get improvement in your jobs.
Right, but this also means there will be confrontation.
